Pals Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox have shot down rumours they have fallen out by having a girly night out, according to reports.

Jen, 40, and Courtney, 44, who both starred in popular US sitcom Friends, were spotted out in Los Angeles amid rumours the pair had had a bust-up.

An onlooker said: “They were having a lot of fun, laughing and dancing. Both of them seemed to be loving the attention of bemused diners.

“Courtney grabbed Jen’s hand at the bar and they were giggling with their fingers intertwined. Rumours they’d had a terminal row were total rubbish.”

Magnum Marine’s wicked new $8.95 million 80-ft. speedboat (above) has lines like a supercar, which is hardly surprising since legendary Italian styling house Pininfarina, known for Ferraris and such, did the design. Florida-based Magnum, founded in 1966, is dedicated to making “sexy, high-end speedboats on a grand scale.” The hand-laminated, high performance craft is powered by twin 2400 hp MTU diesels producing a top speed of about 60 mph. Even at that velocity its deep-V hull “cuts through the waves like a knife, making for a smooth, comfortable and quiet ride even in adverse sea conditions.” The boat’s interiors are extremely spacious and features tons of teak, large open spaces and two VIP cabins with en-suite baths, copious living and dining areas and crew accommodations.

The singer who recently split from his wife, Katie Price, is apparently going to be buying a new house close to his old one in order to get the rights to the children. A source said the following about Peter Andre’s new home purchase: “Pete has found his dream home for him and the children. He spent a week house-hunting, but knew within seconds of seeing this place it was ideal.” The singer himself said the following to Katie Price about the house: “This is where I want the kids to be.” That’s probably just a pretext or a bonus. Peter Andre probably just wants to throw eggs at Katie Price from his own yard.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke is teaming up with Emile Hirsch to produce a modern-day version of Hamlet.

Proposed by Hirsch, Shakespeare’s story will be transported to a liberal arts college on the US East Coast.

Hirsch, 24, will play Hamlet, the son of the university’s president.

He returns for his father’s funeral only to learn that his uncle has taken his dad’s post and is suspected of arranging his murder.

A film script has yet to be written, but Hardwicke is excited about making the film - even though she never imagined herself working on Shakespeare.

“I had never thought of it at all, until Emile mentioned the idea,” she says.

“At first, I thought it was scary and crazy and then we read it aloud and I knew how to do it.”

The director - who worked with Hirsch on Lords of Dogtown - says: “You will understand everything without having a copy of Shakespeare for Dummies with you.”

New York City's Times Square is a misnomer. It never has been a square, in either form or function. It's a traffic intersection with some cheap lawn chairs. As for Siena's Piazza del Campo . . . now that's a public square worth wasting a day in.

Rock Hall, a four-room B&B in Colebrook, CT, is now open for its first summer season, and it’s a great New England getaway for fans of Florida, architecture, or just an unusual story.

Rock Hall was built in 1912 by Addison Mizner, the architect whose Mediterranean Revival style was behind the development of Boca Raton as a resort community. Mizner built this 10,000 square foot home some six years before he went to Florida — where he’d eventually go bankrupt and die.

But before all that, in Connecticut’s Litchfield Hills, Mizner received this commission for Jerome Alexandre, a bond trader. Alexandre was heir to the Alexandre Steam Ship Lines fortune, a company which once sailed between New York and Mexico — perhaps explaining Alexandre’s taste for Spanish-style architecture?

Anyway, fast forward to present times, Rock Hall was bought as a country home by another bond trader, Michael Somers, managing director of Dillon Read and Company (most recently a part of UBS) and his wife Stella, a designer. Let’s just say that investment banking isn’t what it once was, and so late last winter, Michael became an innkeeper. The Somers transformed their country manor into a B&B and have repaired to an apartment on the top floor of the home. (Their former master suite, now Chamber #2, would be the room to reserve.) Stella is a delightful hostess, and Michael has channeled his energies into his long-time hobby, cooking — he makes a mean house-cured gravlax.

A Scottish hotel has created a coffee blended to pair with a whisky. The Cuillin Hills blend was created by the Cuillin Hills hotel on Skye to match whisky from the island’s Talisker distillery. The blend was created by Edinburgh Tea and Coffee Company to the specification of Peter Sim, the hotel’s general manager and is a mixture of Indonesian and South American beans. The Talisker 18-year-old was used as the pairing companion but the coffee will work with any whisky. The blend has notes of dark chocolate, caramel and toffee with hints of liquorice and cinnamon. Sims says the coffee was developed to “complement and showcase malt whisky as the ideal after dinner drink.”
