Does this watch make you think of a black eye? Well it isn’t an eye sore, but rather the Hublot Big Bang King All Black Blue watch. Hublot has been messing with various colors for the standard Big Bang chronograph line lately, but I haven’t see this type of attention on the Big Bang King which is a diver’s style watch - and larger at 48m wide. I have to admit that I really think this is a sexy watch - somehow adding a virulent character to the otherwise somber color tone.
Diver watch elements on the Big Bang King include the 300 meters of water resistance, diver’s style face with large legible dial, and the rotating diver bezel, of course. Here the bezel is made out of matte finished ceramic. The bezel numerals are in an attractive high relief that I am a fan of. The blue on the hands and hour indicators seems to almost exist only on the periphery, though you can tell the insides are colored black, the edges are all deep blue. You also have the blue insert between the bezel and the case. Most of the watch is in matte ceramic. Inside is the HUB1400 automatic movement. The blue alligator strap actually sandwiches a layer of rubber that makes it more flexible. Looking at the dial (sandblasted and rhodium plated) with the blues and black just makes for a great looking Hublot watch. Now that I think of it, as a diver watch I imagine the cold abyss of the ocean with colors such as this. The watch is available in a limited edition of 500 pieces.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, has reportedly purchased Irma Lake Lodge in Wyoming, a 492-acre ranch that once belonged to Western legend “Buffalo Bill” Cody, for $9 million. The deal was done via Gates’ investment manager, the Cody Enterprise reports. The Shoshone Forest borders the beautiful property (above) on two sides and the terrain varies from open knolls to thick conifer forests, aspen groves and rocky outcroppings. Dotted across the ranch are four lakes and three picturesque ponds.
Named by Buffalo Bill after his youngest daughter, Irma Lake is the largest body of water with approximately 12 acres. The estate includes a 15,000-square-foot contemporary log cabin-style main residence (below) with with expansive open spaces and patios, a five-bedroom guesthouse, stables, Buffalo Bill’s original cabin, a caretaker’s house, and a dairy cabin. In addition to amazing views, there are several species of fish to be found on the property as well as “some of the finest big game hunting the west has to offer.”

The singer and his wife have recently decided upon enlarging their family and giving their ten month-old daughter a sibling. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are planning to adopt a Vietnamese child to this purpose. A representative of the Department of International Adoption from Vietnam confirmed their intentions: “Yes, Nicole Kidman wants a baby from Vietnam. We’ve been approached.” So it seems that Nicole Kidman is actually behind all of this. Well, it’s probably no big deal for Keith Urban, considering his wife already has two other adopted children… what difference is one more to worry about going to make, eh?

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl has reportedly been dropped from an upcoming movie featuring Julia Roberts.
Insiders said Heigl was dropped from Valentine’s Day after demanding a salary of $3 million.
Valentine’s Day, to be directed by Garry Marshall, has a stellar cast that includes Ashton Kutcher, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway and Shirley MacLaine.
A representative for Heigl said it was “ludicrous” to suggest that the actress, who starred in Knocked Up, had been dropped. Heigl had walked away from the project for multiple reasons, the representative said.
It is reportedly not known if Heigl, who has played the troubled Dr Isobel “Izzie” Stevens since 2005, will reappear in Grey’s Anatomy.

July 16th, 2009UncategorizedIf you are a dog owner who likes to give your dog a nibble of your food, please be careful what types of food you share with your dog. It's safest to stick to rice, lean meats, plain bread, and pasta. From a training perspective, I do not recommend ever sharing food with your dog while you're eating. Rather, stuff a Kong toy with leftovers, put it in the freezer, and give it to your dog as an occupier while you're cooking the following night. Otherwise, your dog will beg and look at you, yearning for a bite of what you're eating.
Be sure to avoid giving your dog access to the following foods because they can be harmful:
Chocolate: Large amounts of chocolate, especially dark chocolate or baking chocolate are dangerous to dogs and cats.
Candy: Any candies containing the artificial sweetener, Xylitol, can cause your dog's blood sugar to drop, leading to seizures and possibly death.
Grapes and raisins: Even a single serving can be enough to lead to kidney failure in your pet. Never give these to your dog.
Nuts: Any nuts should be avoided, but walnuts and macadamia nuts are particularly toxic.
Onion: Ingesting onions can destroy an animal's red blood cells causing breathing difficulties, anemia, and weakness.
If you're concerned about your dog eating a forbidden food while you're cooking, I recommend teaching your dog that they're not permitted to be in the kitchen while you're preparing a meal. Using the commands "out" and "stay" will help. Practice these commands without the presence of cooking and food, then increase the difficulty by adding more distractions like pretending to cook, finally when you're ready for the real thing, you're dog will have practiced the appropriate behavior.
Additionally, I recommend teaching the command "go to bed" to teach your dog to play with toys in a designated spot or in a crate/den at that time. I recommend that you hide some of your dog's favorite toys and give them to your dog while you're cooking and eating. Your dog will be so excited by their favorite toy or food stuffed toy that they'll be appropriately occupied while you're cooking or eating. -

Russell Crowe is reportedly having trouble finding a rental property in Wales as the influx of summer tourists turns the market cutthroat.
Crowe will be in the area to film Robin Hood with director Sir Ridley Scott and reportedly had applications for two mansions in Pembrokeshire rejected.
A real estate agent, Nigel Jones, said: “A lot of the rental houses are summer or holiday lets and they’re already reserved. It may be difficult for someone like Russell Crowe to find a suitable house.
“The area is very popular and few properties priced at the £1.5 million mark will be up for rent. Often, sellers are not looking to rent. They want someone to buy their house.”
A Welsh website says the New Zealand-born Crowe’s great-grandparents were from Wrexham in north Wales. It notes the area may become more tourist heavy as a result of the movie and its celebs. Cate Blanchett will play Maid Marian.
Crowe has three trailers on the Robin Hood set and it is expected he will stay in them.
The newly trim actor reportedly spends hours each day working out in his motor home, which he has filled with gym equipment.

Matrix star Monica Bellucci was burgled as she attended the closing ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival.
Monica, 45, and husband Vincent Cassel appeared on TV from the south of France and later found their Paris apartment had been burgled and over £80,000 of cash had been stolen.
The burglars also got away with jewellery as well as computer and video equipment worth more than £160,000. The Italian actress’ passport was also stolen in the burglary.
An officer investigating the burglary said: “It was clearly a meticulously planned burglary.”
The officer added: “The thieves are believed to have struck just as the stars were appearing on television in Cannes on Sunday evening. They entered the fourth-floor apartment via a balcony, smashing a window in the process.”
The officer added: “Then they pretty much cleared the flat out of anything that was valuable and could be removed easily.”
The officer added: “There have been plenty of cases of the homes of professional footballers being targeted while they are playing in high-profile matches, but this appears to be the first time that the same kind of thing has happened to actors.”

July 13th, 2009UncategorizedIf you are planning an outdoor wedding, especially on the beach or in a public park, you absolutely must contact the local governing body to find out if any permits are required as well as any stipulations they may have.For NC Beach WeddingsIn the beach towns we are familiar with—Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach, Carolina Beach, Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills—they are public access beaches and do not require a permit. However, they do have various guidelines and concerns. For example, you can’t block public access, no tents can be setup directly on the beach, no fires, and in places like Nags Head there is a limit to the number of chairs you can have on the beach for weddings.
Our beaches are ideal for small, intimate outdoor wedding ceremonies. If you are interested in having a larger wedding on the beach, it is subject to approval meaning that you will have to obtain permission from the Town’s Council. One thing to note is that the biggest concern is public safety and parking.
For Public Park and Tent WeddingsFor weddings that take place in public parks, you will more than likely require some type of permit and or a combination of permits (i.e. special event permit, tent and canopy permit, and or amplified sound permit). There may be a list of other rules and guidelines you will have to follow, as well. These requirements will vary from city to city.As for tent weddings, you may be required to apply for a permit for the tent or canopy. Typically, this is the case for anything that is over 200 square feet. In addition to the tent and canopy permit, the fire marshal will have to come and inspect it to make sure the setup is compliant with the city’s wind and fire code.Lastly, your city may require an amplified sound permit, for example, if you will be having a live band for your outdoor wedding. Please also note that an amplified sound permit may be required for outdoor weddings that take place at a private home residence, as well. -

Ricardo Mendoza, a former photographer for the gossip site TMZ, has filled a lawsuit against Britney Spears last Friday for assault and batter. Apparently the singer ran over the photographer’s foot with her car and now she’s being sued for it. This all sounds good and normal… just that it all happened on October 18th, 2007. That was two freaking years ago! And now Britney Spears gets sued? That’s a bit odd and I have to ask myself: is the fact that Ricardo Mendoza is now a former photographer for TMZ having any influence on him filling this lawsuit? Just a minor detail that needs to be clarified.
