Sir Christopher Wren’s House Hotel and Spa in Windsor has opened a new Conference and Business Centre with five meeting rooms.

The Buckingham Room is the largest, seating 27 as a boardroom or 65 as a theatre. The slightly smaller Balmoral can seat 26 or 20. Each space can be divided into two rooms. The Sandringham Room, the smallest meeting room, seats eight delegates boardroom-style.

In addition to the new business centre, the hotel has six other rooms that can be used for meetings and small conferences, ranging from small rooms suitable for up to eight delegates to conferencing rooms that can hold 90. Four of the meeting rooms overlook the River Thames. All rooms are on the ground floor and have the latest AV technology.

The hotel has a dedicated conference and events team to help arrange all the relevant services and facilities. It is also possible to arrange private dining facilities in the hotel.

The Sir Christopher Wren’s House Hotel and Spa has 96 bedrooms, the award-winning Strok’s Restaurant, a gym and a health and beauty spa. The hotel building was once the family home of the British architect Sir Christopher Wren who designed St Paul’s Cathedral. It is beside the River Thames, a short walk from Windsor train station.

The actress blames her fans, but moreover herself for always being late. Renee Zellweger said: “I have missed flights, missed ferries, missed taxi cabs and made my friends wait because of it. Miley Cyrus was on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this past Thursday where she talked about her 20-year old boyfriend Justin Gaston. She was asked if Justin got permission to date her to which she replied “Yeah, well actually my dad introduced us.” Billy Ray Cyrus – the enabler. Miley also describes Justin saying “I love him, he is a very good man. He’s older but he is so nice, he’s a gentlemen and he’s a good Christian boy.” Miley also joked about marrying Justin “if he gets a pretty ring.” When she was asked on who she wants to be in 10 years, Miley answered “A soccer mom slash Posh Spice.”

With Southern California set for another storm it seems like ski season will last a bit longer. For those who get their winter jollies at Mammoth there is another new real estate option. Altis IV is one of the last slopeslide, ski-in/ski-out spots on Mammoth Mountain. Altis residences are located on a three plus acre site adjacent to Mammoth’s Bridges Run. Each unit has two master bedrooms, a guest room with sitting area, four- and-a-half baths, and a media/entertainment room and is set into the slope for maximum view on all three levels.

The property is being built with an eye toward becoming LEED Silver certified by summer. Green features include using renewable wood and kitchen cabinets created from Forest Stewardship Council materials. There are just 24 homes and each is under 3,000 square feet. An additional amenity building includes a fitness center, owner’s lounge and lobby. The residences are priced from the low $2 millions.

It looks like the plans for Lamborghini’s four-seat, four-door car may be on hold. My colleague Jared Paul Stern reported last fall on Lamborghini’s unveiling of the sedan concept at last fall’s Paris motor show. The car, which was designed for everyday use, was to sell for around $200,000.

Autocar quotes Maurizio Reggiani, the firm’s head of research and development, as saying the timing and market conditions aren’t right for the project. Lamborghini had just gotten going on the Estoque so it was early enough in the conception stages that no serious money was lost. For now Lamborghini will concentrate on the Gallardo and Murcielago leaving the Estoque as a potential project to be reconsidered at a later date.

PETA is stalking George Clooney! Other than that, how did George Clooney’s sweat-soaked gym towel got into PETA’s hands? This was confirmed by PETA when the animal rights crusaders wrote human rights crusader George Clooney asking his permission for the use of his salty secretions as an ingredient of the Clooney-flavored tofu? Lest George Clooney thinks they have turned loonies, PETA assured the Oscar-winning actor that there is a technology that can take perspiration and convert it into CloFu or what you call Clooney-flavored tofu.

PETA said George Clooney’s fans would swoon at the idea of eating the George Clooney tofu. The technology is actually similar to the artificial chicken flavor used in instant gravy, said a researcher. However, tofu would be more difficult to swallow. George Clooney however said he is offended by PETA’s suggestion. The group is however determined and has even prepared serving suggestions for the CloFu saying a cheese-scented one can be used as pizza or lasagna topping. PETA’s intentions are noble anyway since they believe CloFu will not only help people become healthier but more environment and animal-friendly.

Luxury Italian motorcycle brand MV Agusta is presenting its limited edition $120,000 superbike, the F4CC, in London as part of its new Brutale On Tour event. Only 100 of the handbuilt titanium and carbon fiber bikes (above) are being produced, and each ones comes with an exclusive Girard-Perregaux Swiss watch and a luxurious leather motorcycle jacket by Italian fashion house Trussardi. The F4CC, named for MV Agusta director Claudio Castiglioni, is the world’s most expensive and exclusive production sport bike. Its 1078 cc engine produces 200 hp and a top speed of 195 mph, and with a weight of 412 lbs. it costs twice as much per pound as a Ferrari.

A tragedy (both real and symbolic) recently occurred in Bozeman Montana on March 5th. A natural gas explosion on Main Street destroyed about four businesses and rocked the lives of many people in this small American town. Although this incident was very real, the news could easily be read as a metaphor on the collapse of “Main Street” America and the close of small businesses during these hard economic times. Still, caring companies do exist vetted in the prolongment of independent American businesses.

In what can only be called an American peculiarity, Bozeman Montana is also home to one of America’s few independent watch makers, the Bozeman Watch Company. In an attempt to assist its place of business and residence, the Bozeman Watch Company will pledge $500 for each watch it sells until April 15th, 2009 (tax day). That is a big chunk of profit from each watch, showing that the company is serious about helping its town. The money will be dedicated to the memorial fund that will eventually be associated with the tragic event. Bozeman Watch Company has an impressive line of luxury watches each with a distinct American personality. The pictured watch is the men’s Gallatin model.
