This is like no other Jaquet Droz watch I have ever seen. The luxury watch maker has made a true departure from their classic number “8″ dial look with this new Tourbillon Reserve de Marche watch. No longer does the design emphasize the seconds dial, but rather an overall architectural theme. The watch starts with a Jaquet Droz JD3 manually-wound tourbillon movement that includes the time, date, and a power reserve indicator (with a power reserve of 88 hours). This is housed in the large 47mm wide 18k rose gold case.Black opaline bathes the dial of the watch, which is sectioned-off nicely to feature the various areas of visual interest. At the bottom is the tourbillon carriage with a vertically aligned bridge (complimented by vertical finishing on that portion of the opaline dial). A brushed gold partition with exposed screws makes way for the white watch dial cut by the date and power reserve indicator. The contrast of the modern design elements and the classically styled Roman numeral dial is interesting. Despite the complexity of the design, the watch eases your eyes beyond the dial with a soft case design comprised of concentric gold circles. The Jaquet Droz Reserve de Marche will be offered in a limited edition of just 28 pieces, and is attached to a hand-stitched alligator leather strap. Price is likely to exceed $100,000.

The unemployment rate in Michigan is a cause for concern all over America, something that won’t bring a smile on even the most sarcastic people but when it is matter of getting people to forget their sorrows then Jay Leno show is one that’s a reliable recipe.Jay Leno shall conduct an absolutely free show next month at The Palace of Auburn Hills. And what do you have to do to get a free ticket, well just say that you are unemployed, as simple as that. Each unemployed person shall be allowed a maximum of 4 tickets only.
Gee man can it get any worse, not the Jay Leno show obviously cos’ that mans’ brilliant but rather the unemployment situation in the US it is a low ebb and the situation is really grim.
On a funnier note, Jay Leno has quite a number of cars in his garage and all of them are incidentally made in Detroit where Michigan is located so where can he sell the scrap iron – in Detroit so he is thinking business you see. That was a weird one, hope you got it, no, neither did I really!!!

There have been some rumors around that Rihanna might have received an offer to star in a remake of “The Bodyguard”. A source said this about Rihanna’s new career prospects: “Before the situation with Chris Brown, Rihanna was getting a lot of scripts. She has been wanting to do movies for a while now.” This is an interesting concept… still, Rihanna should probably start out smaller. I don’t know, maybe a new version of “How High”, or a spin-off of “Scary Movie”, perhaps even a medium-sized budget slasher-horror, anything before adventuring in such an ambitious project as a remake of “The Bodyguard”. -

Everyone is wondering about why Chris Brown is still up for two Kids’ Choice Awards. Instead of being responsible adults and taking a stance, Nickelodeon, which will air the awards show at the end of this month, is hiding behind the young voters. A Nick executive says that Chris “was nominated by kids several months ago, and the kids who vote will ultimately decide who wins in the category.” In not so many words, they’re saying we should blame it on the kids. Who needs adults to teach young minds why Chris isn’t the best role model when kids rule the whole planet? -

The actress recently admitted that she is not a big fan of ferrets. In a recent interview Jennifer Aniston was asked if there was ever a pet she would find to be a total turn-off for someone she was dating and she answered: “A ferret. That would put me off!” Also, when filming “Along Came Polly”, Jennifer Aniston admitted the following about the ferret they had on set for the movie: “I felt sad because I wasn’t a big fan of the ferret. It’s not the warmest, cuddliest thing. Of all the animals out there to work with, a ferret wouldn’t be my first choice. But you know, I hope I pretended as though I really liked it.” I guess Jennifer Aniston doesn’t take to kindly to things that are both fluffy and pack a bit of a bite. Well, it seems now everyone knows what to get Jennifer Aniston for her birthday. -

For those who still have private aircraft, the options for improved audio/video performance keeps getting better. A company called Skytheater in Fort Lauderdale, Florida does for planes what home theater outfits do for houses. They put a high tech cinema experience on a plane including acoustical considerations, user-friendly operation and optimum performance. SkyTheater uses Richard Gray’s Power Company’s ClearSky, an A/V power management solution designed for private aircraft to improve onboard A/V performance. The product can be installed on aircraft as part of a complete Skytheater system. The performance of high-end audio/visual system can suffer because an aircraft’s power supply is not designed to feed sensitive and demanding A/V equipment. The RGPC ClearSky product offers surge protection and removes “noise” from the system that can negatively impact audio and video for a richer A/V experience.

The actress has recently declared that she will not be staring in the next “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie. Keira Knightley said: “I’m very excited to see the next one. And Johnny is so wonderful as Captain Jack Sparrow. I think it’ll be wonderful.” What, no more Elizabeth Swann? Well, what are Captain Sparrow and Will Turner going to fight for anymore? I think Keira Knightley should seriously reconsider her decision, otherwise the movie will have no future at all, even though she’s of a different opinion: “I’m very excited to see the next one. And Johnny is so wonderful as Captain Jack Sparrow. I think it’ll be wonderful.” Traitor!
